The final sodium hypochlorite solution can be metered, as required, by separate metering pumps. Due to its moderate&nbsp;pH value<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prominent.co.uk\/en\/OLD-Service\/OLD-Service\/Glossary\/Glossary.html#11852\"><\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;of 9.5 \u2013 10, it affects the pH of the treated water significantly less than if conventional sodium hypochlorite (pH 12 \u2013 13.5) were used.
